Cheese and crackers that’s some awful welding. That’s nearly as bad as my first time.
it's good enough for who it's for Hardest part was the rod would keep sticking to the metal... Had to really get it warmed up before I could get a constant arc.
Oh, you were arc welding? That’s pretty good, then!

67 Camaro roof, quarters, door skins, inner quarters, Spot weld, Mig, long as the gas and wire was right it was fine. How is your peddle car doing? O yes, I know the answer to that but you brought it on forum so there is another FU lol.

To the OP, I dig it man! Just take a grinder to it and prove em wrong! I like where your head’s at
I'll just keep on welding until I get good at it.. keep on keeping on..
Seriously, though, that’s how you get good at it. I just recently started welding. Nobody taught me anything. I watched a few videos on YouTube to get the idea, then I got to sticking metal together. It didn’t take long to see a huge improvement just from a little experience.

I never asked about your beloved clapped out HHR or your [censored] wannabe Cobra.
So you’ve spot welded thin metal that requires very little skill or intelligence since you weren’t the one setting up the machine. Got it

TCM3, stay at it. It’s a dang handy skill to have. Start watching Weld.com on YouTube. Then go practice, a lot.

Do not forget to entertain strangers, For by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels Hebrews 13:2 (R-TX)

Always fun to make something usefull with scrap laying around.
Oil filters do not need to be HULK tight. Put it on by hand to a point you can get it off by hand. My wifes car is the same way the filter is smaller than any wrench i have, i just put it on and off by hand.
It's hell eatin em live
