Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

getting ready for colder weather.

I wish me losing hair was seasonal too instead of permanent.

Having trouble shedding and regrowing hair. Will change within weeks, or a severe flea/tick issue with lots of scratching!

See y’all around the campfire.

That is the fall coat starting to show. It also could be from biting flies as the deer licks those areas or is constantly trying to keep the flies off. I have seen those spots on the flank or hindquarter areas red from the flies biting those spots constantly. Bucks will almost always shed the summer coat to show the new fall coat within a few days of the velvet coming off also.

Thanks for the replies, all. This is a new lease that I’m on this year and I hadn’t noticed that on some of the other bucks coming to camera.
