Anybody use it or have used persimmon corn? Guy on my lease swears by it just wondering if it's worth the extra money?

I am sure it is like a lot of products. Some deer will go crazy for it and some will walk right by it or possibly even avoid the area because of the new smell. Half of the fun is figuring out what might just give you the edge over anyone else around you.

I doubt if there is a wild persimmon tree within a 100 miles, nor an apple tree, Too me these flavors are gimmicks to get an extra dollar for the corn.

I used it in a pinch 2 years ago when the feed store was out of regular corn. the trail cam at one feeder dropped from 800 pics to less than 100 pics in a week. another feeder on another farm 10 miles away never missed a beat, a 1000 pics a week stayed right at a 1000 pics a week. if I had just based my experience on the one feeder I would've sworn the stuff repels deer, but those results were misleading.
I do know that here in Kentucky when the acorns start dropping i don't care what flavor you're feeding, its getting ready to slow way down.
I know this probably doesn't help your decision but based on my experience if you've got a choice just feed the cheaper plain corn.

I have persimmon trees and the deer don't use them until late fall and early winter but when they start falling you can bet the deer will be there. They eat corn all the time and never saw a difference in scented to regular corn. Protein on the other hand is a different story.

A bit off topic when it comes to flavored corn. I mix a bag of antler max into each of my feeders. I'll put two bags of corn in and half a bag of antler max. Another two bags of corn and the rest of antler max. It will take a day or two but the antler max works it's way through the corn quickly and will start throwing. I always see in uptick in deer once I mix the antler max in.

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

Persimmon flavored sounds more like a raccoon enticement than one for deer. The raccoons don't need any help finding the corn.

I've thought of doing this but I'm afraid the feeder will get clogged up. Have you had any issues utilizing this method after a heavy rain storm?

No issues what so ever. My feeders have lids on them that keep the rains and water out. I've found it works really well! If you want to discuss send me a PM!

Our deer prefer the Jalepeno - Cheese flavored corn. We tried the sour cream flavored corn but the hogs took over.
