Got a nice 160-lb boar at my friend's place in Junction on Friday night. We were actually looking for three axis buck culls but never spotted them. I was watching two trophy axis bucks stomp and huff at each other in the fading light when both got startled and I figured it was hogs coming to the feeder. Two boars came in, one was behind the feeder so I shot this one. Double-lung shot with the trusty .270 that didn't damage any meat and he dropped right there next to the feeder. Great meat with a huge layer of fat, we're going to be eating this one for a while!

Nice hog!

So where did you hit it that you didn't damage any meat but still double lunged it?

I'm wondering the same thing.

But, regardless it's a good hog down.

You can never have too much ammo unless you're swimming.

Yes, a double lung hit with a .270 that didn't do any damage to the meat is truly amazing. Glad you were able to pull it off, and as you said, lots of good eatin' on that chubby one!!
