Craigslist is terrible now. I've had great luck with Facebook Marketplace.

Price it right and it will be gone in no time! To me Craig’s list ain’t a place to get rich it’s equivalent to an online garage sale, price accordingly.

I figure most scammers on CL are outside of police jurisdiction and they have no power to arrest or charge them

I use Craigslist, Offerup, Fakebook, Nextdoor and others daily they all have become a haven for the decrepit, you need to recognize fake stuff but Fakebook wins the award for spam replies hands down.

I have sold bull dozers, tractors, welders, pickups and numerous other items on CL without a problem.

That's what I'm trying to do on this slightly dented tailgate. I really dont know what to price it at, but 90% of the ones that I have found were $450+. Threw it on CL and market place for 225 just to get it out of my garage.

I never let anyone meet at my house. We have a big walmart a couple of miles from the house that I'll meet out in the middle of the parking lot and strapped up.

Most of my transactions on CL or Marketplace are selling motors or drivetrains that I have pulled from wrecked vehicles and I want them gone NOW to make room for something else. I have no use for the item, I want it gone, and most important to getting rid of it fast, I don't mind taking a hit to get rid of it. I have found that the more expensive the item, the better luck I have with legitimate interested parties, especially if I am selling it for under its value, which I almost always do just to get rid of it.

I also post two things in every add:
1. If your interested, I do not travel, you will need to make the trip
2. If the post is still viewable, the item is still for sale, do not text asking if it is for sale or you will be ignored.

Those two items generally minimize the number of "tire kickers" I have to deal with.

Craigslist is full of scammers. This week I posted my old Grand Cherokee on Craigslist got several of the same responses "I'm having problems using the app can you give me your email" they were all worded the same. I hate giving out my email address.

This morning while eating I posted it up on offer up, and let go. I got one responce on let go, and three on offer up. I sold it in less then two hours.

What I like about let go, and offer up is that they have profiles, so you know they aren't a bot in another country trying to scam people.
