Does anybody have any recommendations for a good pair of dog/shoes booties? Ones that would be comfortable that would stay on his feet?

I’ve put most of them on upland dogs. Of the store bought boots, Lewis are the best. A dog that goes hard will still throw them. If you hunt a hard running dog hard, like they want, the store bought boots will rub their toes raw. Homemade boots made out of motorcycle inner tubes are what I settled on. Most dogs prefer them as well and they don’t come off. Here is a good link that will help you figure it out. Hope that helps

I quit using Lewis boots when we had multiple dogs slip pads while wearing them. I prefer Scott's or inner tubes. If you are losing boots be sure you are putting them on right. That first wrap of tape must be done right or the boot will probably come off.

It's the way you put them on that makes the difference. I use Lewis with no problems but you need to get the right size. Inner tubes work well.

they all stay on if you put them on right--Reverse collar of duct tape around leg, sticky side out extending half of the tape above the top of the boot. Then tape over the sticky side and the boot with more tape. Hard to throw, easy to remove.
