Just heard a report that the number of gun purchase background checks during the month of July were 79% higher than during the same period last year.

I saw that gun sales through July have exceeded all of 2019 numbers.
A buddy that works gun shows for a living said he sold over 500 units in the last Mesquite show. He also said the prices for him are creeping up, so if you were looking you better jump.

Completely predictable by anyone paying even a little bit of attention in February. Stacking extra high and deep was easy, many (most?) of us did. Think about the stuff that you need right now, instead of later when you can't find it. I don't just mean guns and ammo. Our supply chains are very fast and efficient - but they are also fragile - and even a small unwarranted panic can make toilet paper unavailable. Think about that for just a moment.
If you honestly feel that our is society is cruising along just fine, then ignore this. I do not have the financial means of storing a couple of years or more of all supplies, but I can layup a month, or two or three. Think about why every store isn't overstocked with freezers. Some folks are paying attention.
The trick is to be ahead pf the panic, not part of it.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

That’s the scary part....if anyone is wondering why the panic and sales numbers are high, they aren’t paying attention.

That’s the scary part....if anyone is wondering why the panic and sales numbers are high, they aren’t paying attention. Not happening on my watch, at my house or in my car. Always be aware of your surroundings and be prepared.

A friend of mine sharpens knives at all the DFW gun shows. He said he sold out of machetes at the last Dallas show and everyone wanted them razor sharp. Crazy times.

That is why I do not live in Minneapolis. Cars and crap are in the garage and locked, locked, locked. Security camers are coming and I do not really care what the neighbors think. I need a solid 50 degrees in the attic before we do this

Since we are on this subject, one of the best things you can do is get a good deadbolt and most importantly reinforce the door jamb with door armor. It's way too easy to kick in a door.

It's the SAXET show that they try to have the first Saturday and Sunday of every month at the San Antonio Event Center. 700+ tables. Huge venue.
