Guys planning a hunt in New Mexico might want to look at new travel restrictions, I f you spend the night your required to quarantine for two weeks even if in tent, camper or what ever. Good luck, maybe it will be better by then but with that idiot in Santa Fe you never know.

I believe the travel restrictions end on July 15th, at least at this point.
I have a hunt/fishing reservation at the Lodge at Chama set for the 1st week in Aug and checked on it yesterday and they said everything is still good to go.

When they shut down al the BLM protests then they can think about shutting everything else down. Until then Roll with it.... 2cents

This.

Also,
#1, I'm traveling to a remote place, and meeting the owner who is also traveling from TX.
#2. Staying solo in a tent or barn, not a hotel.
#3. I can buy gas/ice in Texas and have enough of both until I cross back over. No public interaction.

I was reading up on that as well. It looks like you have to quarantine for 14 days, or the duration of your stay, whichever is shorter.

Here is a FAQ on the new mexico.gov site that specifically gives an example of staying the state for 2 days and it being fine as long as you quarantine for those two days.

I hunted pronghorn in Oklahoma last year and the GW was out looking for me since I had not used my permit or checked my kill in yet online. At that time there was only 2 outstanding permits, mine was one of them. He had the info on the farms/ranches that the permit was good on and my info. So he found me after running from place to place listed on the permit.... that was before I had killed a pronghorn.

Most of the national forest campgrounds are closed, The trails and "dispersed" camp areas are still open. You won't be around anyone, wouldn't that be self quarantining in a forest? That info is today, what tomorrow or this fall brings is anybody's guess. But you can bet on rangers being there tin the fall.

I called the New Mexico Fish and Game to ask about Pronghorn. You can Quarantine at the ranch you are hunting (can't leave the ranch) until you leave to go home. On your way home you cannot go into any businesses. So better take a bathroom break until you hit Texas. lol

Seems to be a common theme. A lack of actual experience. Of course, common sense will tell you that they don’t know what you’re doing, where you’ve been, or for how long.

Dude stfu - I am reporting off of what they told me directly.. you do what you want, but I am not going to suggest someone do something that could get them a ticket.. We all can interoperate it as we wish. But the fact that you are using your distaste towards me, twist something as simple as this shows exactly how close minded you are..

That’s not very nice. Now, what would your sponsors think about that sort of behavior?

I am here in New Mexico and I agree in the town I am in in SE New Mexico they refer to the Governor as “her highness “ and ignore or work around her edicts

And to think she was suggested as a vice president pick, she's sucking wind now as her budget was counting on the oil money that has went to hell in a hand basket

“According to the New Mexico Council Of Outfitters and Guides (NMCOG). Anyone who is "contracted by an essential business" and because "all outfitter clientele is, by statute, required to be contacted by the business and because under the current NM Public Health Order outfitters are clearly labeled as essential as businesses that provide "fresh meat", "food cultivation", and food related logistics... NMCOG is confident that any client who is properly contracted with a legal NM outfitter is exempt from the 14-day quarantine."
