So I bought 2 bows last week off the classifieds. One was shipped on Saturday, July 18th. The other was shipped Monday, July 20th. According to their tracking numbers, they’re both still sitting at their first distribution centers. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing these kind of issues and if I need to call USPS and ask about them.

I ordered a Polaris part from Partzilla on July 17. Delivery was supposed to be about 5 days. On 7/28, I still hadn't received the part, so I checked the tracking number. UPS dropped off the part at a USPS facility in Carrollton,TX for final delivery on 7/24. I live 20 minutes away and it's hasn't moved from there in 6 days. Just got off the phone with Partzilla and they told me it's been a nightmare for customers dealing with delayed shipments from USPS. The agent told me it could sit there 8-10 business days before it is scanned by USPS and then sorted out for delivery. I asked if there is any way that I can go to the distribution center and get the part, but that's not an option. I need my part before a trip to CO in a week, but it doesn't seem likely that I'll get it.

Moral of the story is don't rely on USPS and make sure you go with UPS or FedEx (or Amazon).

Every carrier is having issues right now- not sure if there is a labor shortage bc of folks getting sick, staying home, etc or if the demand for shipping is that high (everyone online quarantine shopping)

I had a Ranch Hand Grille Guard get lost somewhere between the Amazon shipping center and the UPS truck.... still missing since June. And then I had a truck computer piece lost in the transition from UPS to USPS to the house. Small items I can understand... how a Ranch Hand gets lost is still beyond me but thankfully I ordered from amazon and got a quick refund.

Been in the same zip code in Dallas since 2017 and never had issues before now.

Shipping demand has more than doubled for all carriers, with summer vacations and the corona, staff is way down on manpower. I have package from both UPS and USPS take twice as long as normal.

I collect gas memorobilia (think signs, pumps, cans, etc.) for the shop. I had 3 signs ship 7/6. They made it to the first large DC on 7/7 and haven't moved.

I filed a support request on USPS website and am awaiting reply. Glad I'm not the only one, but I'm still worried with $1500 worth of antique signs that have virtually disappeared.

I had a gun shop 6/2, and it hasn't moved from the first distribution center. USPS says they probably lost it.

Ordered some clothing back in June from Duluth. Made it from WI to Carrollton, TX in 3 days (bout 1,000 miles). Sat in Carrollton (40 miles from my house) for 20 days.

Got married in 2012, filed marriage license at county clerk a week later they mailed the original to me. I live less than 2 miles from clerks office and post office.... I’m still waiting for my original marriage license.

My ring doorbell shows no less than 6-8 different people delivering my USPS mail.

If I were to mail something to a friend across town they would pick it, it would then be trucked to Dallas 30+ miles away, then be sorted and trucked back to Waxahachie to be put out for delivery.

Government efficiency at its best.

I talked to a guy at the local post office about this. He said that they're having problems with employees showing up for work and shipping is taking 2-3 times as long. Coupled with the increase of online orders things are just way backed up.

Shipping is immensely screwed right now with the three major shippers. UPS, FedEx, and USPS are all having problems with a labor shortage and increased demand. That's why Amazon is shipping even more of their stuff using their own service than they originally planned to pre-COVID.

And some people want to put the outcome of the next election in their hands? Really?

My neighborhood has a website and it's a nightly ritual now for people to go take the packages and mail they received to the house where they belong. Everything gets here, but nothing gets to the right house.

I never use USPS if possible. Horrible service & their tracking system is a POS.

Make sure you have attached your invoice to your claim and it shows PAID... I was successful in receiving more than the insured value on a claim when I was able to do that because it showed the shipping cost, tax, etc.

Anytime I see that UPS is handing a package off to USPS I pay the upgrade for UPS to deliver it. You never know if you'll get your package with the post office.

About a month ago I called the idiots at the Coppell Distribution Center because a package that was mailed to me from Missouri had been at their facility for ten days. That evening they sent it to Wisconsin. Not only do they suck on multiple levels but they are vindictive as well.

USPS contracts local idiots to deliver my mail to my neighbors houses and who knows where else. This has been happening for the 5 years we've lived in N Ft W, so, nothing to do with Corona. Ordered brass from Selway and chose UPS as my option. Moments later I get a USPS notification. I called em right away and they said "read the fine print, we reserve the right to use what carrier we see fit". Sure as chit, the package never delivered regardless of what tracking stated. I don't deliver anything to my house anymore just in case USPS gets involved somehow.

BTW, I get all kinds of mail in my box addressed to all sorts of nearby addresses. USPS used to be a mark of our nation as a world leader/innovator. Even prior to railroads. It is now a mark of our decline.

No end of grief with the USPS when things are normal. Even worse now.
