I like throwing the corn/roasted soybean mix in my spin feeder. I have tried 2 brands now Horn Corn and the latest is MFM. The Horn Corn is clean of debris, but has a lot of dust, and the MFM has a lot of both. I will not buy it again. So my question is what do you feed and what is your thoughts on its cleanliness?

My buddy has been using that mix in his feeder for a while now. He hasn't complained about it that I know of.

contact Collin county feed in Mckinney and ask if they have a location closer to Denton. The big feed mill they were associated with, in Mckinney, used to roast their own soy beans and mix with corn. 16% or 20% blend. the land it was on was acquired by the city for a micro brew to setup. The smaller feed store, Collin county feed, still carries the 16% for about 440.00/pallet. Limit 1 pallet a week until they get setup and running again.

AS to Debris and dust, there is some dust and corn debris. I have never had it be bad enough to clog a feeder. The only Issue i can see where it may be a problem is in the capsule feeders, currently I am running one with the corn soybean mix. It has had about an 1 1/2 cutoff the auger tube though, this helps if dust is a problem in capsule feeders.
This is the Buck Ration Brand, I forget the actual feed mill.

The FMF bag is called "Game Pro". It has a lot of debris in it.

We've been using Mr Buck from the Shoppin Basket in Coleman or Ballinger for years. It is sometimes a bit dusty but we've not had issues with debris. We've also bought bulk from the feed store in McKinney and it is a quality product as well. We feed this in both gravity and spin feeders.

I have been using it for the past couple of yr.s and We get it from Bryant Grain In Aledo Tx. No problems. We use it in spin-cast feeders.

I used it for a while but then went back to just corn. It didn't make a lot of difference. We saw the same number of deer on the mix as we did on corn. We do feed protein year round though.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I buy it from Bryant Grain in Aledo. Good folks. I have been mixing with corn for the last 4-5 years. Deer like it as well as the quail.

Same here. Tried it for years but deer just really didn't eat the soybeans well. Red chain 20% protein is what we feed. Deer walk past the corn feeders to gorge on this stuff. Very happy with the results.

I think it depends on the area. I’ve had deer/turkey hammer it at one place and not touch the soybeans at another. No rhyme or reason. Another year I think the soybeans were bad. Buddy and I tried it in two different counties and nothing ate the soybeans, not even the coons. I’ve switched back to corn only.

This has been my experience as well.
