Hi all,

My freezer is becoming painfully empty and I drew nothing in my home state of AZ for the fall, so I was looking at come back to the great state of Texas to try and procure some meat. The ranch I hunted a couple times before recently underwent an ownership change and is no longer an option. I was hoping to find something in the west side where I could hunt 2-3 does or maybe a management buck. I'm trying to minimize my drive time if I can help it, understanding full well that there aren't a lot of good doe/management options (that I can find) the further west you go. I'm not looking for anything fancy, and I don't need lodging, food, guiding or game care. Just curious if anyone has any recommendations in west Texas that I might look into where I'd have a decent chance of filling the coolers at a decent price. Thank you much.

reach out to Mulie Mike on the forums, likely see him down in the Outfitters & Guides section. He has a lot of ranches he does hunts on from Sonora on out to close to El Paso, down to Big Bend country. Not sure if he has any doe or meat hunts ...
