Kids wanted to try making hot dogs so decided to give it a whirl. Made a few with hotdog weenies and then made a few who’s your daddy corn dogs with some 1/3 pound jalapeño and cheese deer sausage we made a few weeks ago.... it was good!

My grandma used to make something like corndogs using homemade German sausage. One was a meal in itself.

That looks great.

I know a guy that use to make what he called "breakfast corndogs" which was a small breakfast sausage dunked in pancake batter and deep fried. They were delicious, but you could feel it for a little while.

The sausage was intended to make kolaches with, but haven’t settled on a bread recipe just yet.

I saw a recipe the other day about making homemade Flamin Hot Cheetos corndogs ... used Flamin Hot Cheetos run thru a food processor to pulverize, the mixed with buttermilk for the batter ... was an interesting concept.
