This was my first release its about 40 years old and made by Hotshot release company in Rockwall Texas. This was pre D-Loop days, there were 2 versions one with the loop and one without it. The one without the loop wore out strinv serving quick. I say before dloop days, at least the shops in MS did not do them then.

They were great releases in their day. Made of metal and had an adjustable trigger.

Wow, good to bring back old memories. I have a 1970 bear compound sitting in a big shadow box I made for her. We old timers have sure seen archery evolve into what it is today. Even with trad bows with metal risers and composite materials, but some of those old bows still fling arrows down the pike. I shoot 1970 Herter 72" competition bow I like to do trick shots with, the other day I shot the cotton of a Q-tip at 20 yards, it still shoots as good today as it did back then.

They were a good release, but could use some improvement on a couple issues. This is one my machinist friend custom build for me, modeled after the same Hot Shot. The thumb release bar is shortened so you don't accidentally hit your face and trip it, the extra length gives a little more control without torquing, and it is adjustable for 2.5-3.5#. I can still shoot it today and it rivals some of the best out there.
