Was able to head to Llano this past weekend for some hog eradication. Even talked my wife into joining me and filming any potential kills and we had some good luck. I was shooting my late Grandfather's .300 Savage Model 99, which he killed many a deer and pig with over the years. I "inherited" it a few years ago from my dad and it's always special harvesting anything with that rifle. Also opened up a brand new box of shells for the hunt, which are Remington 150gr Core-Lokt Soft pt. shells that my Grandfather bought in October of 1993 for $10.57 (20 cartridges)! These videos are pretty boring compared to some of yall's, but my standards are a little lower obviously. Anyways, hope yall enjoy.

This first video is from Friday night @ 8:00pm. We've been thinning this particular sounder for a few weeks now. A few things I learned from this video...

1) My second shot was horrible.
2) I need an AR or something

This second video was Saturday morning @ 7:30am, same spot. This old boar had busted me a couple times previously so I was glad to finally get him. He would always come towards the feeder, but never in it, then would spook before I could ever get the scope on him. Even this time he came in very cautious and started to mosey off.

Nice work

I decided to leave the old Leupold M8-4X fixed scope on it. Sometimes zoom is nice but for an older scope it’s held up real nice.
