My wife of 35 years has never liked the smell or taste of cornmeal covered fried fish. This means we did not have fish very often at home.

Recently she wanted to try something "new," so I pan fried some halibut and put a seasoned topping with the fish. It was a big hit with the wife.

Here are some of the recent attempts at some new fish dinners we have tried.

Any suggestions for future trials would be appreciated.

Everything looks great. I made a smoked deer sausage & speckled trout couvillion last night that everyone enjoyed.

I love seared tuna. Sometimes I fix a bernaise sauce to go with it.

Sometimes my wife will broil crappie with garlic butter and salt, pepper for a change along with sliced squash, onions and asparagus.

covering all your bases there. Looks fantastic. Any of it grilled or all seared in a pan?

So far I have baked the fish in the oven and pan seared the fish in my iron skillet. Trying some out of the grill sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

Pan seared coconut fish. Best with grouper.

Salt & pepper fish.
Sprinkle with grated coconut, lightly press.
Pan sear in coconut oil.
Toast some grated coconut as garnish.

Note: Disregard if you don't like coconut.
