most of the sanding is done, the line is not a crack, didn't show until stain, more sanding, I think I will like the color. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/07/full-3376-242180-dscn1585_2.jpg) after final stain will be at least 4 coats of tough oil, then bees wax

after researching about the only way to fix checkering is to recheck.

Color looks great. Keep sanding to a minimum, no sanding on checkering.

yep on the sanding and checkering, two indentations that I can't do anything about, one half way in the checking
