my father in law used to plant a couple of small 10-15 acres fields with oats every fall. One year, evidently he got a dirty batch of seeds that was riddled with sunflower. For years, that field would be covered in sunflowers from the seeds dropping from the plants and him plowing them under when it was time to plant oats. Made for great Dove hunting in Sept though.

I agree, Turner Seed.

I just talked with them today. Not about sunflowers, but they are good folks there.

I have been told native sunflowers don't do well in sandy soil. Anyone have input on that?
