Those that use surgical tubing for your jerk rigs, how long are you cutting your tubing? T.I.A.

You're way overthinking this. I used a couple beat up bungee cords wire tied together. For the weight I had an old lead tank weight for diving.

Get a pulsator. Jerk rigs are too much of a hassle, who wants to mess with pulling on it all morning, I wanna drink my coffee and relax. Another reason I don't call that much.

I bought one of those decoy spreaders last year, Looks like they'll work in shallow or muddy water.

We tried it, and it has great motion, but had to do away with it because we couldn't keep our deep hole muddy so they could see the tubing.

Couldn't agree more!

Worth every penny.

Gave up on jerk rigs. Pain in the butt

Which one did you get? A few years ago I got a Motion Ducks one that you put 7 dekes on. It has been lights out for me. I use it anytime winds are under 15 MPH. On big water it seems to work best, great realistic motion.

There is a problem in really shallow water - it'll drag the bottom under 6" of water. The only major problem I have is paying that much for what is basically tent stakes. The ends eventually splinter and I've had to tape the ends up.

That's the one I have. We're always hunting little pockets too, so need motion.

I really like my higdon swimmer, it moves a little water. I have a lucky duck swimmer too, and it doesn't move water, but it does swim around.

I never leave the house without a jerk rig. Pulsators are great to, but sometimes making the swim motion makes the difference. I like game winner jerk rigs. Cheap and seem to last long. I’ve never thought to make one out of surgical tubing, but I might try that.

Yes, plus 99% of duck hunters over call. We run 2-4 on every hunt with wind less than 10MPH

I'm gonna add a spreader to my game winner jerk rig for later in big duck season. Will let you all know how it works out. I did get a pulsator too so will be able to see how they both work together.
