Wife said possibly Lapis stone from the look and bit of blue. Shine a light from one side does it look more blue?

Lady that found it said it is jet black no blue at all think it looks that way from camera flash.

Where is Henderson county did you find it? I think that that was brought in from somewhere else.

It could be a meterotite, but the formations in that area of Henderson County would not produce that kind of rock. There are some Facebook groups that might be able to help.

There's biotite and biotite gneiss, pure biotite is a form of mica and soft. biotite gneiss often contains quartz, which will scratch glass. I think that biotite gneiss is a real possibility.

My resource said with Glass/Crystal appearance that it is likely Quartz.

Most likely not quartz- cleavage is wrong for quartz.
