For me probably about 25 years. I used to catch them by the bucket full 25+ years ago in Odessa. This little guy was spotted on my place in Throckmorton. Very cool to see them making a comeback.

I sent the picture to the local game warden and he said he’s hearing more and more people say they’ve spotted them recently. Hopefully they can flourish again.

Almost every time I go on the ranch. Have 3 that live in my backyard. These 2 were last week, I guess it's breeding time.

Been a while and keep hoping to see one on my place I live on with the numbers of harvester ants I am now seeing. I used to see them every week down in La Salle county on a ranch I managed back in the early 2000's. I see them every once in a while on the back dirt roads down here but nothing like they used to be 40-50 yrs ago.

When I had a lease in North East Callahan County saw lots of them. All sizes from quarter size to very large for them. Haven't seen many since that lease sold.

I see a couple a year in west Texas. Always fun to see, they're neat little critters.

Saw only one 2 years ago in Stephens County. Growing up in Midland they were everywhere. My Dad told me to bring them home, along with any box turtles to put in the backyard to control bugs. I think those turtles outlived my Dad.

I see them all the time around here. Usually when I mow, I have to get off and chase the little buggers out of the way.
