I'm not in the auto industry or UTV/ATV industry. I am in an industry that sells warranties on their products.

Extended warranty margins in our industry are in the 90% range and are pretty high in all industries.

So the odds are not in your favor that you'll ever get your money back. But if you're the one guy in 100 who needs it, it will typically more than pay for itself.

I've bought a lot of vehicles in my life and never purchased an extended warranty. I buy a lot of tires and never get road hazzard warranty. I would say I'm WAY ahead by having not purchased.

But I'm knocking on wood as I type this.

+1, my policy is to never buy an extended warranty on anything. Someone on another forum compared them to buying vehicle or home insurance. I said apples and oranges. Just not comparable to me because of what is covered.
