How many people do you know that have been sick with coronavirus since this started?

Personally know.
With symptoms and diagnosed by a physician.

Just wondering..

We know one. SIL's uncle was on a ventilator for 6 weeks. He's now learning how to walk again.

I like the way you think.

None here. I don’t even know anyone that knows anyone. Quite the pandemic, huh?

All tested multiple times and diagnosed.
All showed symptoms except for the oldest who is in her 90's.
All recovered now.

I did not know anyone who had it till first of this past week. I had my A/C guy out on Monday and he had tested postive and had Covid in early June. He ran fever for 2 days of 100+. His wife tested for it but was negative but had fever of over 100 for 8 days and was sicker than he was. His brother was sick first and that is why he tested. His brother, brothers wife, his father and his mother all tested positive for it within a week of each other. They had all live on the same block and had been over at the parents house every weekend to BBQ and hang out. He said he still has to use the inhaler still after a month of not having it..said when he works out or does something really strenuous he has breathing issues. But he has had breathing issues in the past when flu or serious colds. His doctor told him to be careful since could get it again. Another friend of mines grandson got it from his kindergarten teacher at a private school in June. The teacher was sick and tested positive so they tested the whole class and all the kids tested positive. Don't know the size of the class though. Mother and father and both grandparents had to test...they all tested negative and I think all the kids recovered fine from it. Another friend of mine has a concrete company and had 11 truck drivers test positive for it...one was in the ICU and did die from it, but he had several health issues and was in his early 50's. The other 10 recovered from it. Had another friend call me last night and said his 88 yr old neighbor had his son and DIL out at his lake house for 4 days over July 4th. The son and DIL were both sick when they got there and left on Monday. Tues the son tested positive and the DIL tested positive on Thurs...both are in the hospital in ICU....both have several underlying health issue and around 50 yrs old. My friend is worried about the 88 yr old father getting it since they are neighbors and around each other at times. My friend has had open heart surgery and a stroke in the past 7 or 8 yrs.

A guy that I served with in Vietnam, both he and his wife got it, she spent almost 2 months in the hospital, he spent 3 months in the hospital and is going through physical rehab now to get his strength back. Another family almost all of the adults and most work in healthcare got it, only 2 out of 7 were hospitalized, Another a distant cousin, passed, but she had old age and other underlying health issues.

One, works for my wife. Went to the ER. And then back home. Doing good after two days. Headache was the worst part for her. She is young and healthy, early thirties. Purdy sure I had it back on February but didn’t know what it was then... didn’t go to the hospital

My wife's great uncle, he passed.
A customers wife, waiting for his results.

Several people posted on here back in April that they knew no one with Covid, so they seemed convinced that it did not exist. Some still believe that it does not exist simply because they know no one with it.
Since then we have had a few THF members or their family positive.

7 that are personal friends.

1 was in hospital for a month. Overweight and diabetes.

2 of them were father and son. 49 and 18. He said only symptom they could tell was achy back for 2-3 days. Only reason he thought it might be covid is because guy he rode to work with had it so he got tested. Never wore masks or practiced social distancing.

4 are/ father 47, mother 43, son 16, daughter 9. 9 year old no symptoms. Rest of them cough, low grade fever and achy back for 2-3 days. Practiced social distancing, wore masks, used hand sanitizer, you name it. Have not been out to eat, to any Walmart/Target etc. (the wife is semi liberal) They said they have no idea how they got it.

Live in a small town with a meat processing plant. We were 3rd in state per capita with virus for a while. Nothing ever really slowed down except restaurants. Most barbers and hairstylists just started cutting hair out of their house. That type of stuff. Now where every other county is exploding our county drastically falling in number of cases. I think we are down to 32 active cases.

I know of about 10 other that have had it but they are not personal friends. IE do not text and call them regular.
