I’ve been reading and watching videos on how the enzymes in pineapple can tenderize beef beyond belief at a rapid rate-less than 2 hours and eye of round is more tender than an out of package ribeye.

Have any of you given this method a try in the past?

The acid in Pineapple will break down the meat. Pineapple has been used to marinate pork in forever.

The new HEB had whole pineapples on sale at 87¢ each my last trip. I should have paid more attention to the pineapples than I did to the hot checker.

What you call hot and what the majority calls hot may be different now days..

With a forecast of 105, everything is hot.

Pineapple is a great grilled dessert, better with a scoop of ice cream.

You may want to experiment with times but these guys tried it for longer. There results and comments are funny.

Pineapple juice is one of the ingredients in my beef fajita marinade, yes it works IMO.

So the moral of the story is don’t marinate in pineapples longer than 1 hour.
