Now THAT’s what I’m talking about lol.

That's the ideal situation, I'm usually solo and stack piles on both sides of the splitter then throw the sticks behind me, cuss the pile and stack a couple months later

Just a tip for you, folks like myself that BBQ a lot with a stick burner smoker, like short smaller stuff because it's easier to fit in the wood box and easier to regulate the heat. If I was starting a business like you are, I would make sure to cut some 10"-12" split stuff just for them. It's not easy to find, and you will have a different market, than just folks looking for fireplace logs.

That is what I asked for but for different reasons.

I have a buddy that sells firewod up here in the metromess. If I remember correctly, he charges 50 for one row the width of a truck bed, as deep as a truck bed, and 20 for delivery. He also does 1/2 face chords, and full face chords, but I don't know how much he charges for that.

Get yourself a 4 way for the splitting wedge, you can make 4 pieces in one pass that way.
We bought a 30 tons and left it in Texas at our BILs just so we could bring wood back to Wyoming. It is a horizontal / vertical splitter. Vertical setup works good for the big heavy logs.

Stephens county area here. I usually cut my own but I did buy a couple of cords 18 months ago. $225 per cord for split oak or mesquite delivered about 25 miles from the supplier. Like Quit Shooting said "don't sell it too cheap....it is hard work". Years ago I used to sell it part time.

Firewood in my area would be like coals to Newcastle.

Skinner, you can't compare the pricing up there in TX Lite with what you will be able to get in your neck o' the woods. Somes up there just don't understand the terrain and in DFW think there are only palm trees in the coastal plains.

A couple of things are fer sure, you can keep busy and build up a strong grip.

That'll sure get the job done. Best of luck on your new venture sir! PM GUTIT. Kent sell's firewood and he'd be a good resource as well for pricing.
