So since both chicks have left the nest and seem content living on the ground, they don't seem to be progressing. They both went through an enormous change in under two weeks but they don't seem to be progressing much. I too am surprised that as much time as they spend on the ground that they are still alive.

I too am surprised that as much time as they spend on the ground that they are still alive.

They are hanging around because mom and dad are still bringing them food for 1 to 2 weeks after flying down. When they stop bringing them food, they will get going.

 Neat series of progression pics. I would be seeding out some jalapenos and feeding them and bacon pieces to those doves to "prep" them for hunting season...
