Did it say anything about athletics? Our school district did a survey and I was amazed that it was 49/43 voting in school vs home school. I would have thought the in school number would have been much higher.

I would have thought the in school number would have been much higher. Our optional summer conditioning was put on hold until next week since a kid tested positive so who knows. Probably cancel football at this point I bet. I am usually wrong though. Hell my son went to Santa Rosa Beach last week because the original friends brother tested positive. Luckily I had points to fly him there on. This will go on forever. My best friends wife has it now. All are fine...

Some schools giving teachers the option of teaching on line from home or in person at the school. If they choose at the school, they will have students in person and on line. What do you think they will choose?

Every kid I have talked to said they didn't learn as much and their grades went down after spring break. This was high school and college kids. They need to be in school. Wear a mask. They say they work.

I think at this point most school districts are offering a choice. In DFW and Houston if the numbers don't get better by August I very seriously doubt in person teaching will still be an option. Other countries have opened schools only to be shut back down within weeks, being America has shown we are not capable of being self managing, responsible citizens, I do not see how we would be any different....
And it has been proven time and time again, most parents are more concerned with tax based child care than they are actual education.

Been watching the debate about this on tv. General consensus is young kids are extremely unlikely to catch the virus. Yes, they can carry it with no symptoms, but spread to other kids is an exorbitantly low risk. The 35 young kids that have died caught the virus from their parents while under stay at home orders. Recent studies indicate countries with open schools are faring much better. This is another power grab.

Yeah good luck making a bunch of 6 year olds wear masks all day every day.
If we had a child - wife would be quitting her job and we'd home school. Public school is a joke even before the "virus."

Kids will be fine, protect the teachers though, especially the older ones.

If I had school age kids they would be going to a private school period.
