I have the HD 8 Defender Max ( crew cab ) and cannot say enough good things about it.
Kawasaki makes a good machine as well, my buddy has the SX XC at his house to putt around in, but its really tiny. If I hunted on a small, flat place and only needed to haul some bags of corn or a deer every now and then it would suffice, but I prefer the larger bed and more power of the HD 8
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I have a HD10 and love it. My buddy always comments on it when he rides in it, and says that it's better than anything else he's ridden in

Now leaning towards the Mule Pro FX EPS That’s a better comparison. Really comes down size IMO Can am- pros- More storage Sportier pedal response Cons- Length and turn radius Noise compared to Mule Pro Mule Pro FTX Pros- Shorter turning radius Quieter Can have a huge bed(beside mule deer and Whitetails, I’ve also gotten 13 bags of corn easily in compact mode) Factory standard half doors Cons- Slower then Can Am Lot less storage Stock tires and stock ground clearance Cant go wrong with either machine. 2021 Mule Pro is suppose to be doing a redesign so you may be able to pick up close out special

If you get a Mule pro the only upgrade I highly recommend is elka shocks, they aren’t cheap but they are an adjustable lift kit, HD springs and long travel shock package in one. The ride improvement is pretty night and day difference.
Got mine through Hesters motor sports

I have a HD10 and love it. My buddy always comments on it when he rides in it, and says that it's better than anything else he's ridden in Ive got the HD8 max and wouldn't want to ride in anything else.... if ride comfort is your number one factor, there's no comparison.

My Gator has the same or similar motor. Never had a problem.

My Gator has the same or similar motor. Never had a problem. Think the mule pro shares same engine as the newer 825i. Same Chery engine I think

Same Chery engine I think Early (single cylinder) Mule's and Gators used the Kawasaki engines FE series, FE290 (9.5HP) FE350(11HP) FE400 (13HP) Those Chery engines are widely used now and seem surprisingly well built (made in ChYnA). think the Pro uses a 3 cylinder 812CC chery engine.
