Looks great. Where'd you find the Pacific oysters? On sale at Whole Foods for $6. They were shucked and raw, not in the shell. Most were as big as an egg. The local Walmart also carries shucked, raw pacific oysters. I travel to San Fran monthly and eat prime rib and pacific oysters at a place near my office in the old Hill Brothers Coffee building on the Embarcadero. Their halfshell oysters are huge and they quiver when you hit them with a squirt from a lemon slice. Takes two bites to down one. Oysters on the halfshell are one of my favorites. I ate one of the ones I bought at Whole Foods and despite tasting good thought better of it and decided to cook the rest. I was going to fix oyster chowder until running across that Rockefeller recipe which was surprisingly quick and easy using a toaster oven. The initial plan was to use a muffin tin, fortunately I found some mini aluminum pie tins that my wife had saved from some $.50 mini fruit pies she gets at Walmart, I got six rainbow trout filets for a buck a piece while I was shopping. Im going to broil those one day this week for dinner.

I don't eat oysters from the gulf anymore. I just can't get comfortable with all the crud that flows in from the Mississippi. Those look really good. Mind sharing the recipe?

Never had any in the bama pecan pie tin pans Love me that oysters r.. That's the only way I'll eat em besides fried. I like more spinach than I see there, and there's not enough of of em. That's one of the things you eat till you're half sick
