All the braums places around here have been closed
for a long time.. This closest one here has been one
of those fly by night pay by the month insurance companies
for quite a long time.
The service at all these local braums sucked really bad way
before any of them closed up. Lord help you if you ordered a
a hamburger and wanted it to be like you ordered it or in a
timely fashion. I'm sure mine was spit on the last few times
I went to a braums even though I ordered mine without spit

Trying to cover every base is a corporate/ business management school

instead of one or just a few of some exemplary product or service.
Their mindset is that they're missing out on some business and if they
could sell XXXXX in addition to their regular product/ service, they would
rake in the dough. What they end up doing is to piss off as many as they
satisfy, and usually run off their best and most valuable employees

You can't please everyone

Ive never had fast food that wasn't mediocre in the first place. When I eat at Whataburger or sonic or mcdonalds or burger king im looking for something low cost dependable and quick in the location im at. If you were going to look for the "best" you would never grace the door of a fast food place.

Some Whataburgers really are that slow and on a regular basis.

braums FTW.

I've eaten at the new Whataburger in Anna twice. Each time the fries were cold and the burger was lukewarm. Lesson learned and I'll stick with Braums.

Dalrock and 66, if you got a spare 35 minutes give them a try, if there's more than three cars past the ordering kiosk, better give it 15 minutes a car additional.

I travel all over this state with different crews every day, about 60k-70k a year.
For being rough guys they are the pickiest people I have ever seen. It is like traveling with a carload of 12 year old girls.
At least we can agree on Whataburger. We see all different shapes, some in buildings, strip centers and the A-frame roof.
As long as the burger stays good I am okay with it. I just hope they do not change the cool old ones.

I agree, the meat patty is very thin now. You need to order a double meat to have what used to be a single.

We get something from that Whataburger just about every weekend, and it is always good. They haven't ruined it yet lol.

Had it tonight. Waited in drive-thru line for 38 minutes (par for the course). Ordered 4 drinks & got 1 straw. Requested ketchup & got none. Got no napkins. One item was the honey butter chicken sandwich. It didn't have any honey butter on it, only bread & chicken strips. The beef patties were not even 1/4" thick.
Like I said earlier, 10 years ago it was good, now it's just sustenance.

Its all about the employees at each location. We had a lady named Sherry that ran our Whataburger for years. She got a promotion and when she left the store the food took a dump. Havent found another good Whataburger since and and have quit trying. They have the best breakfast in my opinion but the burger can be easily beat elsewhere.

That is local management's fault and it is not par around here.

We had a lady running the local DQ for decades, the food was great and the place was spotless, she retired and within a few months the place was became a dump.

With any franchise, it's all about the management.

I will say there are a lot of good burger places to choose from these days.

Whataburger is the same it’s been the last 10-15 years. It went down hill before that. We still eat there but the quality isn’t what it used to be and we eat there a lot less since the sold to a company in Chicago

My first whataburger experience was in kerrville Tx Many years ago. I bit into a burger filled with hair. The manager said “ it happens “ I’ve never been back. Still makes me gag.

Whataburger is one of the few companies that I've downloaded the app. Place my order through the app, drive to the store by the house, park out front, and they come out to get your name right away. Walk back in, grab your food, bring it to you, and you're on your way in a minute or two. If you're on the road it'll pull up the closest restaurant and give you directions.

And every 5th order I get a free taquito. Have breakfast twice a month for free.

Of the 4 or 5 stores I normally go to, I haven't seen anything change yet.

Not to long after the investment co. bought them out my next two trips there the meat patty seemed like it tasted different not as good and was not as juicy? My first thought was they have switched meat companies to save money. Last time I went seemed back to normal and was good.

As Gravytrain stated it ain't a bargain! Heck I order the same thing all of the time; double meat single cheese all of the way with Jalapenos, no fries or drinks and it is like $7.50.
I can eat at El Paisa get two meat enchiladas rice and beans for $6.99 D-O or go to Grand Wok load up for $5.99 D-O

Whataburger is dang good most of the times, either I am just a cheap bastage or they have gotten to pricey for fast food confused2

As of April 21st, they will never get a dime of my money. Ordered food through the app, went to pick up, waited 28 minutes before even catching someones attention for pick up. Got lied to about the order. No napkins, no ketchup. Food made both my co worker and I sick for 2 days with the explosive trots. Contacted the day after to explain and try to get my money back, they never once called me back or even responded to my email. Done with that. Still have the receipt on my phone for it.
