Looks like the governor just pooped on the tourist business in New Mexico, 14 day quarantine if you enter her state from anywhere and by any means and fines for not wearing masks.

That was in place earlier in some towns, then dropped. Even out of state property owners had to do it.

She just put in back in statewide effective immediately.

Well crap, we had a trip to Red River planned next week

Well, she won’t know about my passing through a few times a month. I’ll just have to spend my money elsewhere.

Family that lives there is staying that most county officials are not enforcing the 14 day deal.... but who knows?

I’m wondering if this quarantine will include the daily back and forth oilfield traffic from west Tx. This is crazy!

We are headed to CO in August, was going to stop in Raton and shoot the white buffalo. Not spending the night in NM. Can we drive through the state? Should we just go through OK instead? Final destinations are Ft Collins and Estes Park.

We just drove through yesterday, no check points and nothing about quarantine. Made it to California this afternoon, other than mask requirements everywhere, no real hassles.

Not enforceable. Only businesses should be able to enforce. Going to wear one fly fishing or hiking??

This current restriction is only till Jul 15.

I heard its the same to PA

We just got back from Red River last week. Only activities we did was the ski lifts and ATVs so social distancing was very easy. We did venture out to eat 2 times (restaurants in RR SUCK), but nobody in Red River was enforcing masks and I would say less than 50% of the folks we saw were wearing them.

As for a day trip to Taos you weren't allowed anywhere without a mask.

I can't see how they can enforce it, almost impossible. They would have to stop everybody on the border, and them Interstates are busy (not to mention the many smaller roads). And then follow up with them. I just don't see that happening.

Just got this email from the place we have reservations at so we will see

I’m flying into Albuquerque on the 18th, driving up to Durango for a few days. Have a reservation in Santa Fe one night on the return back to Albuquerque.

Mom just called me, she said Texans are being stopped at the borders.

Part of Mexico's border stations are also turning back tourists.

Crossed the NM border twice this morning on a bike ride and no issues. We did see more people wearing mask there than in Tx but no problems getting in.

How about interstate trucking delivering materials to New Mexico?

Required essentials get a pass.

Weed shops still "Essential"?
