Is there anything else to help stop the robo/spam calls on an ATT landline? It's a digital phone.

Sorry can't help. Haven had a landlines in 20 years.

Don’t think the do not call list even works. I bet I still get 20-30 calls a week for car warranty.

It works for legitimate companies. Most of those you may be referring to are robodials for a shady offering.

Press *61 after the call to block that number. That obviously doesn't keep the scum from using a different number

This is a good idea, but I have received a call from my own phone number and from one of my employee’s phones. One offering a vehicle warranty, the other was a college loans call. Odds are thin but I may end up blocking a number that I want to answer. As I get many calls a day from people that are not on my list, I still must answer all calls.
The do not call registry is a joke. Scammers are not bothered by such a thing, they cannot find them to stop them, there is no way they can track them down them down to fine them. Even if they do, I am sure the fine is nothing compared to the other problems that they will have. It is like thinking a "no guns allowed" sign is going to stop someone that is planning to kill 50 people.

Record a tritone disconnect message and put it as your answering machine message. When a robo calls comes in it will detect it as a diconnected number and hangup.

I almost missed a robo call about my prescription today.

I usually have fun with the callers. They always tell me to hit "1" to speak with a warranty specialist. I love when they ask for my year, make, and model of my vehicle. It's a 2020 Lamborghini El Diablo or a 1910 Mod A Ford. If a female answers the call I ask her what color her panties are. That stops the calls for about a week or more then they start up again. One agent asked why I don't just punch in the "remove from caller list" and I tell them I have, 27 times. I then tell them I will continue to waste their time as long as they continue to waste mine.

I never answer a call from someone not on my contact list. I block all the unknown calls which has reduced the number of Robo calls substantially.
Only had a Robo caller leave a message one time. It was for a car warranty.

It does not work. I like to get a live person on the phone and ask for their name and number. They say “ I can’t give you that!” I ask them “Why not, you have mine!”

We've been on the do not call list since 2006. I've had 3 "unknown " calls already today.

Stop answering with "Hello". Have some official business sounding standard answer.

I have been getting one recently from an 844 area code about the US Census. I did my census online and still have the confirmation message that it was submitted. The Govt will never contact you by phone if there is an issue, they use the mail and send a hard copy.

When I feel like answering an unknown number, I usually say "Bomb Squad" or "Astrodome Third Base Dugout."
