Late to this party but too good to stay away! Fried is my 2nd favorite. Grilled gets me every time. Take oysters on the half shell. Mix up some butter, white wine, garlic, and basil in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix some fresh grate parm and little more basil. Put the oysters on the grill over medium hot coals and place a tablespoon of the butter mix over each one. Grill until almost done, less is more here. Sprinkle a little cheese mix over each one and grill until the cheese is melted and bubbly. mmmmmm.

That sounds good. I really like them steamed too. I like to fire the BBQ pit up and throw some meat on, turn on some music, open a cold beer and sack of oysters. Set 10-15 of them on top of the fire box at a time, once they start to open up they're done. With a leather glove on grab em', pull the shell, squirt a little tabasco on and get after it. Gotta make sure you get all the juice. It's nothing to go through a sack or two of oysters like that while your BBQ'ing. food

I use to like them raw. Then we were on a trip to N.O. and a fellow crewman drank a few too many I think it was called "Mississippi Mud" and had swallowed a dozen raw oysters. He started puking going back to the hotel. Ugliest thing i have ever seen. From then on only fried for me.
