Already started something else. May take a peek between commercials. Wasn't too impressed with the last one.

Have to agree, this show has gotten a downhill slide.

Hello, IN65 here, I probably know some of you cats from the fishing forum. I've been watching "Yellowstone" since the second season, but missed the first. I like it, primarily for the scenery, and for Kelly Reilly. She, along with Black Lively, "The Shallows" and many other movies, is one/two of my current crushes. I'd surmise it's the meek/vulnerable quality of each. I like "Yellowstone," and "K-Costner," despite his, and the shows excessively liberal use of the "G/D" cuss word. I hate it hearing it over and over. Then again, nobody is forcing me to watch! Costner, born to a Baptist upbringing, seems to be at odds and "religion/spirituality." He is so foul, and has his costars always using "G/D" or insulting the big guy, hence "God." Regardless, "Yellowstone" is fun to watch. However, I did feel the story-lines of Season 3, episodes 1 & 2 were rather weak. With luck, the writing will improve. Addendum: The other show I've discovered is on the National Geographic Channel. If you have not caught the show "Barkskins," do yourselves a favor! IN65 Addendum II: I'm not trying to "left turn" this topic from "Yellowstone" to "Barkskins." I just thought I'd mention it instead of starting another topic. Addendum III: I have not hunted in a long time, but I'd surmised the remedy is forthcoming. ...------

The producer, Taylor Sheridan, is a horse guy who lives in Bosque County. The horse parts of the show are pretty real, from the quality of the horses to what they do. He is also a reining horse guy, so there is some of that. There have been a couple of episodes that have used reining horse trainers and their horses. So for me, it’s interesting.
It is nice to see a show that knows how to portray horses.

Just watched it (recorded) I thought it was pretty weak and to much soap opera like stuff. Hopefully it will pickup next week. That Texas cowgirl speech and acting was a joke.

I can think of a few people that need a ride in a horse trailer like episode 2

The "Texas cowgirl" character was a joke, and just a bit sillier than getting it on in front of a lone wolf.
I watched the "wolf exit" twice, and as soon as he jumped to the left, his right, I did not see his body go through/behind the tree and tall grasses, as if superimposed into the shot, but partially exited.
I need to watch it again.
Regardless of the criticisms, I do like the "look and feel" of the show.

...------ Yes, probably CGI or otherwise edited in. Probably not smart or safe to have a real wolf on set.
