Dad helped me put on a pair of antique 6V electric horns that he'd saved on the '64 Chevy pickup he let me drive to high school. They were wired to a ratshack reducer for 12V to 6V, but they spun plenty good. I can still hear 'em.

Got a set (duals) on my camper and had have to use them a few times. Sounds just like a freight train. Of course that 120 pounds of air helps.

He poured rest of our LS out and took a hammer...lifted my hood and destroyed my train horn. Seems we had blasted his granny earilier in the evening. Of the dayum luck....

Train horns are for lightweights Guy that used to do shipyard electronics (crane control systems) got his hands on one of these, and now has it on his RV. It hurts your ears INSIDE. Fundamental Frequency: 250 Hz Audibility Range: 1.5 Nautical Miles S.P.L. Output (1/3 Octave Band): 138 dB Try this

When mine were hooked up on my truck I ran 150psi through 1/2 line. They were tested at 120psi through 1/4. The difference it made was literally deafening in the cab, can only imagine how bad it was for those it was Pointed at. It was a set of 3 trumpets, shortest was 12 and longest was 24 inches, 8 inch bells

Played with a horn during a neighborhood parade once. Surprised they didn't kick us out. Was funny watching people spill their drinks... I used this to get my kids attention. They love it! Crank it up!

I put many train horns on the front cap of Prevosts and others. When you are in a rig that big and you hit that horn, one would think there is a train coming.
