anything recommendations besides calling Oxners guy? Nuke it all is what I want to do. Got bit and figured now would be as good of time to nuke it all as any. All the nice little critters should be out in full force. Looks like a nice little spider got me. Going to go ahead an do under the house as well. Is the hardware store stuff any good?

Every few years I treat the entire yard with over and out and spray the foundation. Haven’t had to do it this year.

When you treat the yard it kills everything, earthworms, lizards.... everything

Yep, killing everything upsets the balance and you end up with worse infestations

For the yard itself, I have an old yard/garden book that says Tide powder sprinkled liberally and watered in, will get rid of the bad bugs but not hurt anything else. I used to do this years ago but completely forgot about it until this thread.

yeah , I thought about my buddies BUT, hahahaha. Hate to see the lizards, frogs, earthworms go . Last year I found a black widow or two. What ever got me last night seems to have given me a reaction about 3am last night woke up feeling like my throat was closing. Ill definitely do the front yard, under and around the house. The bugs can keep their balance out further from the house. roflmao

I definitely strive to stay as clean as possible but seeing the black widows last year and now this bite AND having a family , dog, I think I got to step it up at least closer to the house.
Tide and the sort definitely does work, I think its the same as the hard core stuff sometimes. hahha. Take some dawn dish liquid with water. Put it in a spray bottle and viola, cheap insecticide. Try it , it will kill almost on contact. I made the dishwasher start wearing gloves. roflmao

Spiders and scorpions are harder to kill. Anything with Cypermethrin as the active ingredient will do. Demon is one. I'd get the generic though, it's cheaper.

It will do exactly what you asked for in your original post.

Permethrin and Bifenthrin, both available at tractor supply. Had chiggers real bad at my new property last year, sprayed once and everything was gone.

Safe for pets after it dries if used by the label.

Demon will kill everything including scorpions. It is also a hardcore neurotoxin for some animals.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

We have an outbreak of army worms in the fall. I never treat them. They seem to do a good deal of mulching but never kill the area.

Get you some Tempo, kills everything and lasts for 30 days.
If you live out of town chickens are the best bug control.

I have an acre around the house sprayed every year, they spray for mosquitos and everything else. We don't even see house flies anymore. The spider population out here is hard to manage, but the spraying does help. I haven't see fleas or ticks on a dog in the last 5 years thanks to Bravecto.

Professional treatment last 90-120 days for us.

Permethrin is my go-to. Mix it in a back pack sprayer and get after it.

The man who sprayed my pecan trees used Thuricide. It works well on all types of chewing worms, even tomato horn worms.

Careful spraying under the house. Those chemicals can come up through the floor and can kill inhabitants. It's happened before. It'll happen again. My green and brown anoles, skinks and tree lizards are my pesticide. Spot treat fire ants but other than that, no poison.
