I was on the extension ladder putting some traps up on the roof, we occasionally get rats up there. I heard a bleat and thought is was a fawn, looked over to see a huge cotton tail at full sprint with these guys/gals in pursuit. I grabbed a rifle and sat on the deck, they were in and out of the woods darting around looking for rabbit/s I guess. They must have been younger and inexperienced to continue the chase, that rabbit was long gone. There was 3 but I only could get 2. I must say, I impressed myself getting these jokers on the run. After seeing a video on here of coyotes catching piglets, I wonder if shooting them is wrong.

Good shooting!

It is never wrong to shoot coyotes. Save the fawns!

I've never enjoyed it either buy do so occasionally to keep fawns alive. It is currently fawn season. I'm definitely on the fence. Save a fawn, you also save a piglet.

Good shooting. There's probably plenty of others around to take their place.
