I am digging 2 man made lakes on a job and these are the tools I am using. The JD 9620 is a beast and D6 ain’t too shabby.

Post up some pics when you start digging.

Question:- Will you dig it back out or dig a new one and if you just dig it out how do you plan to make it hold water again?
Some ponds Leak? What do you think it cost to dig out an old pond assuming average size pond not a small lake?

Just curious.

thanks

Never seen anything that could pull three scrapers. How big are the scrapers?

Those tracks look too tight on the 6K. Also, no ripper?

It has a 3 blade ripper and the tracks have been working fine but now I am going to have to inspect them because it will bug me. Haha

They may be working fine but it sure does make them wear faster. Usually around 2.5 inches of sag between the sprocket or front idler and the center roller. Just what I have ever heard or read.

No it doesn’t but sure wish it did. It is brand new and grading the parking lot and cutting the tops down on the dirt piles has been a little of a learning curve with out the automation. I have the JD down pretty good and get about 58 yards per load. I will look into the tracks as you and Don K recommend

Tracks are a little tight. On the top of the roller frame, there's a little access door. Open that up and loosen the valve and it should let some grease out to relax the track. If you put a straight edge across the top to rear.. or top to front of tracks you should have a couple inches of sag. Shoot me a PM if you need more info.
