Be sure to bell the case mouth a little more when loading cast to avoid lead shaving as you seat the boolit. Yes the 45 colt rifle is a hoot. Mine is the most carried, shot and enjoyed long gun in the safe. I've taken wtd, several axis (including a 32"er), a bobcat and a turkey with mine. I too want another one just because. The 45 Bisley is in the safe again as the 44 Specials have taken its place of late. I did shoot one WT buck at 50 yards with the 300 gr Bisley cast load. Lots of practice and a solid rest.

Out of curiosity how much can I load up my 45 colt? Its a unfluted cylinder . I have just shot store bought in it but recently I was given a new 45 Henry which is a fun shooter but I think I want to reload for them.
