Now getting a frog choker in the gulf coast areas. Should be great for the nesting season. How about you?

Steady rain all night. Still raining steady and looks like it will continue all day. My septic tanks are flooded, alarm light flashing and pump running steady. It’ll pump steady until the level drops. This only happens with frog strangling gulley washers.
Yep it’s raining.

It didn't get into our area of Comal county until about 2am. About 1 1/2" by 4 am. The hail they had west and north of us missed us. Thankfully.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

1 and a half inch in Dickens at first of week and almost a half inch friday
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Dickens has received 10" ytd about 25% above normal. Had 2 coveys at year end of about 8 to 10 each on my 160 acres. If vocalization is and clue they are singing up a storm all over the area. Keeping my fingers crossed that conditions remain positive and we have a great next season.

OMG guys This could be a fantastic year. I better hold my enthusiasm however this is the numbers ytd and they are fantastic at my place in Dickens county
YTD 11.9 actual normal 8.6 a 40% above normal
By date recent 5/12 .4 5/14 1.4 5/16 .4 5/24 .6 5/25 1.2
I planted my food plots milo and sun flowers on 5/7 when I left on 5/22 they were really showing promise and now with this addl rain I may really have some success. In 8 years I have only had 2 that were successful but this could be a winner.
Quail were singing all over my place these rain may be what mother nature ordered.

A whole lotta white in Texas on the drought monitor map and much of the yellow is showing S for short term impact. Scroll back a month and the only area not showing all white is far S Texas. Most of the Red/Severe Drought is in Colorado. https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/
