Have a chevy 1500. Bought it new last year. Has been in the shop 7 times now - 4 times over the transmission and 3 times over electrical issues and going back again for both this time.
GM is no help, started a case 1 time before and was told they couldn't do nothing for me so now we are trying to start another case and advised them of the lemon law,ect and that we want a buy back. Its not safe to drive , heck it smells like its going to catch on fire like there are electrical wires getting hot. So long story short fighting them again and there is no phone number to an ceo, president or anything above customer help and was told by gm so.
So i call the wonderful Chevy dealer here in weatherford and it seems to me that they dodge all the issues as well.
Cant even get the owner of the place to call me. He has his little wanna be call me and get an attitude over me asking to talk to his boss, the owner. I guess the owner is as big of a chicken turd as GM is.

Never did i see a day i thought I would switch of GM/ chevy trucks but now after this joke of an on going ordeal im done for good
Customer service sucks beyond anything i have experienced, its all overseas and nobody gives 2 s$!&s about the customer.
Wish i could say what I want to but I'd be deleted forever
Good luck to anyone who has to ever fight with this sorry excuse of a company.

The more research i do the more customer service issues i find and with customers having to hire attorneys and such just to get GM to honor their products. What a joke.
Anyone else had these issues ?

I had an issue with a Chevy Colorado, broke down completely with less than 5000 miles new from dealership. They gave me a loaner and said it would be fixed, after almost 3 months of repairs, there kept being new problems that needed fixing (while it was in the shop) I told everyone in the dealership that it was a Lemon and that I wanted a different vehicle. They said that per Texas Law as long as they gave me the loaner, and continued to try and fix it that it was still my vehicle and that they would not take it back. I did everything BBB, Online complaints, finally I called the local police to ask about protesting in front of the business, I wanted to know where I could legally stand. The Police chief knew the owner, and asked me if it was OK with me if he called him. I had a new vehicle the next Day.

Got it the workings on the lemon law and with dealer as well. Just cant believe the b.s. from gm and the headache

On another note...any good/bad things about f250's. It would probably be the next plunge we take

They all make great vehicles - but there's always going to be a few lemons out there no matter who the automaker is.

Just took a bath on an F-150 that I didn't have the time or patience to try to go through the lemon law route.

Probably got a truck built on a Friday afternoon or Monday morning. roflmao You may laugh, but studies have shown vehicles built at those two times have more problems because of the autoworkers.

I have owned 7 GM trucks/SUV's since 1998....never a single problem with any of them. Seriously, I've never even had so much as a flat tire, not one shop visit.

My Dad just got a new Navigator for free because the first one kept having issues and Ford couldn't fix it. All brands have issues, it's just luck of the draw.

I feel your pain! Had very similar problems, ended up getting $10,000 trade in assistance and this pickup is great!

All joking aside...i called Ford to see how they handle similar issues and i was shocked by the courtesy i received and the answers i could get. Heck i even was told if i wanted to talk to higjer management he could put me through to them. Gm has lost all the marbles for sure

They’re garbage. Now you know. It’s too bad you had to find out this way.

My last GMC product was 1982 Camaro, Bought it directly thru GM and had it delivered to my local Chevy Dealer, Biggest POS car I ever owned.

Last GMC product I have ever brought.

I run mostly Ford and Hondas, they have been outstanding vehicles

I went through my own GM(C) horror so I feel your pain (new engine, alternator, starter, battery all at about 10k miles, got hit while at the dealer one of the many times it was there in that era, 4WD issue, rear brakes at 35(?)k miles, heating/cooling issue, and more). Most documented here in my Yukon threads.

I had similar issue with Ford, they involved the regional rep and he offered me $3000 over trade-in. I emailed the dealer and told them I would lemon the vehicle or trade it back to them as if it had been lemoned (would have put me about $10000 ahead instead of $3000). They accepted the offer to keep it off the books. Good luck, they all make a bad one once in a while, it all comes down to getting them to own up.

I have owned GM trucks for 36 years, I have had a new one every 3-7 years and never spent a dime on them until last week, my 2014 GMC ac condenser started leaking and cost me $760, other than that I have been lucky I guess.

I have a buddy that buys a new F250 diesel every two years, don’t think he has owned one that was not in the shop at least a few times with problems, don’t think he has ever put more than 30,000 miles on one either and said he is afraid to anyway.

My wife has had a Lexus, radiator went out at 50,000 miles.
Her Audi, water pump had to be replaced at 55,000 miles.

She never keeps a car past 60,000 miles I’m going to change that to 50,000 miles with her new BMW.

My point is, all of them can have issues, I have been lucky with my GMC’S I guess.

I had some issues with GM service on my last Chevy truck. Have a Dodge now and had an issue 26K mi out of warranty. I was stranded and a dealer in east Texas I’d never sit foot in took care of the problem, quickly..no charge...no issue whatsoever. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a dealer.

We owned them all in our small fleet at work over the past 22 years. Never had much problem with any of the F150's or Z71's we've had, and literally put millions of miles on them over the years. The last Tundra I had, a 2014 Crew 4x4 gave me multiple problems, so got rid of it after 75k plagued miles. The new GM products, and F150's run circles around any Tundra we've ever owned (5 of them). No excuse for piss poor service though from any of them.

The courtesy was because you are not a Ford customer. I had a well known paint issue on the roof of my Super Crew. Dealership lied about contacting Ford. I called Ford and apparently they had talked to dealership and agreed that something scratched the paint. They just blew me off when I said it was a well documented issue. When I figured I could not win i told them any idiot could tell that water is getting under paint because the stupid design. The only time I have ever had to deal with Toyota CS is when the dealer said they had to cut down my throttle pedal due to recall.
