Took my wife and daughter down to the hill country for a couple nights of tent camping and hiking. We stayed at Seco Ridge Campground in Utopia. Went to Lost Maples Nature Preserve on friday evening, floated the Frio on Saturday and then on to Garner State Park on Sunday. Beautiful country down there for sure!

What a great trip! And yes, those areas are stunning. Well done. up I do call Utopia "Our little slice of Appalachia" though. 'Having known a few folks from there, lets just say they're too lazy to go over to the next "holler" for a date and prefer to "keep it in the family"! crazy

Went to Leakey from Bandera this morning to pick up a Transcaspian Urial from Wildlife Buyer. Got into a few showers on the way and back. Really a great part of Texas that has not been screwed up too much yet.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Too bad it's starting to happen. Leakey and Camp wood have been "discovered". It'll turn into New Braunfels before you know it. Breaks my heart. We own land down there. Taxes are out of whack too. Probably end up selling to our neighbors.
