A niece was supposed to call the wife today but didn’t. She later texted that she had run out of minutes on her government phone. She has made some amazingly bad life choices, so she may be on food stamps. We don’t know and her parents won’t discuss it. How do people get these phones?
No, I don’t need a guvmint phone.

I could live height on food stamps. Started several threads about food stamps. Most people agreed.

I haven't seen it in a while, but seems like I remember back when o bummer was in office there were people on the sidewalk every so often set up like a lemonade stand, card table poster board and all giving out govt paid cell phones. This was in down town SA.

No, I don’t need a guvmint phone. I was curious so I looked and for a family of 8 your income has to be below $59,562 but it goes up $6,048 for every one over 8 people. For 1 person the maximum earning is $17,226. You qualify by making 135-150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline or less. This is the 2020 guideline Poverty Guidelines Thankfully I have never been in that condition.
