For those who aren’t familiar, there is a way to make Damascus steel putting powdered metal inside a canister and then forge welding it into a solid piece. This particular blade is billet ends and pieces welded with powder. This is knife #666, the first canister knife I have finished out, and my first subhilt.

Absolutely beautiful. I am really taken aback and quite appreciative of it. Saying al that, thinking here I would have skipped its number and gone with 667, but oh well.

I like it. The number makes me like it more.

Good job Jason, that power hammer you made is paying off.

Sure been trying, anyways, lol. I'm actually in the collecting stuff stage of building another hammer. Going to build a tire hammer this time for a smaller footprint.

I can't forge anymore, I live in a golf community and they not taking kindly to the anvil... In a year or two I'll have to move to a larger shop, I'm getting super busy. Then I'll see if I can afford a hammer or press. Besides right now it's too darn to forge at my age. You young guys can do that. roflmao

Yeah, definitely too hot to forge much. I worked my tail off in March and April forging a bunch of Damascus I haven't finished out yet.
