Can’t think of anything that stood out in Buffalo. Few more miles down the road in Jewitt had some pretty good barbecue. Don’t remember the name but it was right on the highway on the east side.

18 miles north to Sam's in Fairfield.

There is a small restaurant behind Sam’s that’s a better place to eat. It has an odd name that doesn’t come to mind.

The name is "Something Different"

I have eaten at The Pharm Restaurant just east of 45 in Buffalo on Commerce St. several times. The food has always been very good and fair price. They use to have the BEST boudin balls I had found anywhere but they stopped making them several years ago

After all the negative reports on the eating around that area I decided to cancel the trip.

I’ll second the suggestions of Rancho Viejo and The Pharm. For greater authenticity, you can always try the cafe at the cattle auction on Saturdays. I’ve had some pretty good eating in there.
