Would appreciate some suggestions. Gas is not an option. Needing one to stow in a vehicle to air up tires.

I have a Slime Heavy Duty tire inflator. It's been very reliable.

I used to have a 12v Viair hooked up to a 1/2 gallon tank for an air power water gun. This thing was the most powerful 12v compressor I ever saw. Cost me about $80, but worth every penny. Used in the pickup to air tires and as the power for the water gun. My wife carried one of those 12v booster setups that included a battery, the compressor and other stuff. It was not a Viair but it worked pretty good.

I've got a little one, works great for me. Might take longer, but it'll get the job done.

When looking at them look at the duty cycle. As mentioned above the Viar is the best at 100% duty cycle meaning it can be run non stop. Some that you may think are good because of price only have a 30% duty cycle. Meaning they can be run for 3 minutes then have to cool for 7. This is the same problem you get into with small wire feed welders

I’ve used a bunch best I’ve found for the price is —Smittybilt 5.65 CFM Air Compressor - 2781(used it on tractor tires even)

Viair 450 Is a beast but it has low CFM to get the 100% duty cycle. General rule higher the CFM faster it inflates but can get hot quicker

ARB is what most of the Jeep guys use to air back up after airing down for a trail/mud bog.

If price isn’t an option it’s way to go, if you aren’t lowering your tire pressure everytime you hit a dirt road, Smitty

ARB plug kit is IMO absolute must regardless which compressor you run.

I have something similar to that smitty but not sure what it is. I also have a lot bigger and heavier one but its still 12v. It was over $300 I think but its a hassle to protect in the tool box and to tote around. I need longer leads for the electric so I dont have to take it out. I love good stuff but I dont like taking time to research so I usually end up with something thats not just right. I just need Bobo on speed dial, I think.
