Nice pup!

All of the pups are healthy and eating gruel. I still haven’t decided on my pick. They have started recognizing us and getting excited when we get in with them.Amanda and the boys spend all day messing with them and have a new favorite every day when I get home. The family is already talking about how tough it will be when they go to their forever homes. I think every one of them will make a dog. Their personalities are starting to develop. It’s a tough decision on which one I like the best. Everyone has a name and the boys tell me what they did all day.

Bobby, your favorite runt is named Bones. He’s getting fat now, but if I kept him the name would stick. Bones was one of the nicest pointers I ever hunted behind.

Bones is a great name. Bet he will be a goodun! Looks like maybe that boy has him picked already.

I see him now. Sure wish I had the time and money. Never had a Brit. Might be fun. I'd have to hunt public. No way I could afford a lease as high as they are right now.

That's the little male, right? Who's getting him?

That’s the big male. Chalet is getting him. He’s a real nice pup. I think he’s the prettiest. A buddy of mine I grew up with picked the runt male, Bones. He wanted the pup pictured but his 8 year old son liked the runt. We have hunted together and he put up money Before they were born. My buddy asked me which one I’d pick and I was honest when I said I’d be happy with any of them. I’ve watched these pups every day for hours and it is too tough to pick. None are timid and all love people. With my two boys all the noise doesn’t even turn their heads. I hate to see them go. It would be fun to keep a whole litter, put them on bird and then pick. I got a point out of everyone in the litter at 6 weeks!

I just walked out to the shop and my youngest son was tossing grasshoppers in the pen watching the pups kill them. A little extra protein.

Mama got back in shape. She was skinny and developed mastitis. I had to pull the pups off of her at 5 weeks. She’s back to 100%.

It would have been nice to see a few more dove flying over tonight. My tank overflowed last night though. 4” of rain at my place!
