A chain store (Dick's) has a Remington 700 on clearance (stock nicked) for $459. It has a camo stock, ventilated in front with double lugs for a bipod. I measured the barrel (heavy) from the end of the muzzle to the ring and get 26". The action is stamped Model 700 and then 62500. Nothing about it being a varmint. It is mounted with a 4-12X variable scope (Remington I guess- which isn't very good) There is an ADL "tactical" that normally sells at a much lower cost. Is there a way to identify if the rifle is an ADL or the varmint? Thanks.

ADL's don't have a hinged floor plate.
ADL tactical 24" threaded barrel, no hinged floor plate,, the 700 ADL varmint ventilated fore end, two studs, no hinged floor plate.

The 700's with ventilated fore end, sps tupperware stocks, two studs with hinged floor plate;
sps varmint
sps varmint sf
