New to shooting a bow. I went to shoot today after about 20 shots I pulled my release and thunk. My string is all off the cams. I can't see that it's broke, I can't tell that the limbs are messed up. How could this of happened? Its a Bowtech Insanity.

You might have torqued the bow when drawing and derailed it

You might have torqued the bow when drawing and derailed it That can happen for sure. Happens most when the shooter grips the bow tight, Another more problematic thing is if there was enough cam lean to cause it. Hard to diagnose the problem without seeing it, putting it back together right and see what the bow tells you.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Take it to a bow shop, don't mess with it yourself, you might damage something. Or worse, get hurt.
