This one was wet, from snout to tail, and smelled like the south end of a north bound skunk! Obviously just stepped out of a wallow for quick bite to eat. That didn't happen. I wasn't sure if I should lay my X39 down on top for a photo op! 7.62 X 39; 123 gr. Hornady (Cat. # 3142); 68 yards. Head shot; DRT.

I don't like dealing with wet hogs, Good job! I've got this really great arrangement with the property owner: if I drop a hog I want, it's mine. If I don't want it, I mark its location and he comes out, gathers it up, and either processes it for his freezer or donates it to the Buzzard Association of Central Texas. How cool is that? (And this old wet, stinky one was his, to be sure!)

Good job. They don't last long when you drag 'em off. A few days unless it's really big. I've seen small ones eaten overnight.
One shot is all it should take.
