I think somewhere around that time frame. I know my buddy's '13 does not have it.

What year did they start putting the run/stop crap on the F-150s? I'm in the market for used and have a 17 and an 18 on the radar. My '18 did have it. As mentioned above, you can permanently override it but it takes a little doing...

2017 QSYB (I am 99% sure the 2016 2.7 Ecoboost had it though)
It's also the first year for the 10 speed tranny.

Auto Nation Ford has loaners. The dealership itself sucks but they do have loaners.

And you can also plug a trailer light tester into your trailer light plug and disable the auto start crap.

I should've specified that....the 3.5's had the 10 speed in 2017, I think 2018 was when it was rolled into the 5.0's.

my son has the 2019 5.0 . the day he bought we were talking about that auto start crap, salesmen asked if we wanted him to disable, yep , so we lifted the hood and he unplugged a wire right at the battery and it was disabled, its that easy to do.

4 pages of posts that just fill me with joy... The obvious answer to ALL of these blue oval disappointments... It's so obvious.. don't buy JUNK and you won't have problems.. Show me a post where the Toyota truck owners are having these issues.. What's that? You can't find such a post? Misery loves company and after 4 pages, I think you guys should be called a "Blue Oval Support Group"... Really... are none of you seeing the reality for what it is? Ford=JUNK......... Argue all you like.. but if you bought it, you made a poor decision.. You can either argue your reason for supporting having made a poor decision, OR you can recognize it for what it is and not make that same mistake again.. but I already know the answer... In light of the problems you are having with your JUNK, you will probably just DOUBLE-DOWN on your poor decision making and go out and buy another... Does not hurt my feelings.. I'm making BANK repairing FORD junk... So... after 4 pages-THANK YOU ALL! for buying blue-oval JUNK! It means my income will continue into perpetuity! :-) I laugh in your faces, and happily accept your credit cards for payment!

There is a reason Toyota's have an app for the closest gas station on their Nav system.

There is a reason Toyota's have an app for the closest gas station on their Nav system. I would rather get 1-2 lower mpgs then FixOrRepairDaily. I actually do a little better then my brothers 5.O F150. If you are going to worry about a couple of MPGs then you should not be driving a truck. I will more than make up for the few extra $s I spend on gas on repairs, down time, and resale if I sell. Kawabuggy, the facts are the Ford fanboys far outnumber us on THF and TFF.

If you are going to worry about a couple of MPGs then you should not be driving a truck. My daily driver is my 2001 Z71 which I bought new. The only major repair job was when I got t-boned in 2004 by a drunk driver. I still get better gas mileage with a 19 year old truck than your 3 year old Toyota.

Funny how the mpg comments like that are always from folks who drive vehicles with subpar mpg. The other funny thing is I had more "issues" with the Tundra that I owned than I have any of my Fords....no motor or tranny issues but fit and finish issues. Nothing like buying a 1794 only to have the stippling on the seat start to lose it's cover....all this with less than 5k miles on it. Two sides to every coin.

200k on my 5.0 (not the autorestart crap) I've replaced the coil packs and plugs, flushed the coolant system. Replaced the starter. That was likely my fault for parking it below flood line down in the Houston hurricane picking people up in the boat. But hey she got me out right then.
Here's to 200 more.
